Every star has those early movies they do before they establish their name. What are some examples where casting directors nab multiple future stars for cheap before they "take off"?
Short Term 12 was the first example I could think of. An indie film on a shoestring budget, and yet it features Brie Larson and Remi Malek (who would win the oscar for best actor/actress in a few years). Jason Gallagher Jr was excellent in his role, and has been quite successful since. Lakeith Stanfield has done quite a few things since, and they even nabbed Kaitlyn Dever at 16, and she's now landing major leading roles like Booksmart. ANd It's all credit to the casting director, who assembled this cast before Hollywood realized their value (in fact, it's the only way a movie this size could get such a cast).
So are there other examples like this? Non-blockbuster movies that featured multiple future major stars, before they won their awards or were certified as huge box office draws? It's just something I'm curious about, and I haven't paid enough attention to really know the answer.
